EVENTS COORDINATOR
Position: Events Coordinator (Volunteer)
Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid / In-person as needed)
Commitment: Part-time, flexible hours (continuous opportunity)

T.E.A.M. Houston leverages soccer for positive change, connecting diverse communities and businesses through inclusive events, strategic partnerships, and leadership opportunities. As the city gears up for major soccer events like the Gold Cup, Leagues Cup, MLS matches, and the World Cup, we help companies maximize these global opportunities to grow their brand and strengthen Houston’s vibrant soccer scene.
Position Summary:
As a volunteer Events Coordinator, you will support the planning, promotion, and execution of community events that bring people together around sports and create meaningful connections. You’ll work closely with T.E.A.M. Houston’s leadership and other volunteers to ensure events run smoothly and reflect our mission of inclusivity and community growth.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in planning and organizing community soccer events, workshops, and social gatherings.

Coordinate event logistics, including scheduling, site selection, and on-site needs.

Collaborate with partners, sponsors, and local organizations to enhance event experiences.

Help promote events through social media, newsletters, and local outreach.

Support day-of event execution, including setup, registration, and participant engagement.

Position: Community Outreach Coordinator (Volunteer)

As a volunteer Community Outreach Coordinator, you’ll help build and strengthen relationships with community partners, organizations, and sponsors. You’ll play a key role in expanding our reach and impact, while actively supporting efforts to secure sponsorship opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:

Identify and build partnerships with businesses, local organizations, and community groups.

Support event promotion by fostering connections with community leaders and stakeholders.

Identify and explore sponsorship opportunities to support TEAM Houston’s mission and programs.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective communication and alignment.

Help coordinate outreach events and community activities that promote inclusivity and participation.

Provide regular updates on outreach efforts and new partnership opportunities.

Craft and schedule posts that highlight T.E.A.M. Houston’s programs, events, and community impact.

Foster a positive, inclusive, and interactive environment in our online spaces.

Collaborate with the events and outreach teams to promote initiatives and drive engagement.

Monitor community feedback and interactions to inform content strategy.

Stay up to date with social media trends and recommend ways to enhance our digital community.
